Edmundo Borja Navarro completed his undergraduate studies in Administration at the School of Accounting and Administration of the UNAM. He completed a Master's Degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language at the Faculty of Culture and Chinese Language of the Beijing Normal University, taught in Chinese, and was also the first Mexican to complete these studies at the graduate level in this house of studies. He has taken Teacher Training courses organized by the Confucius Institute in collaboration with the University of Language and Culture of Beijing. He has the certification of the Chinese language proficiency HSK level 6. In 2008 he represented Mexico in the international "Chinese Bridge" contest held in Beijing and Hunan.
